Arsenal
v Chelsea |
What else
can you say about Arsenal? The sixth round of the FA Cup
is upon us, and the Gunners are now on for the double,
if not the treble. The FA Cup is known for form going
out the window, but in the case today, Arsenal are simply
playing better than everyone else. Arsenal have played
fifteen at home, won thirteen, drawn once and lost once.
Chelsea,
after looking equally as good early season, are now starting
to stutter, and have lost four out of their last five.
I think the odds offered of 1.85 for a home win are quite
respectable, and these should be taken. Arsenal have too
much firepower for Chelsea, with Henry, Bergkamp, Wiltord,
Pires, Jeffers and Ljungberg all back in the attack. Chelsea
are a team going out of form at just the wrong time, and
I dont think they will be able to stop the Arsenal.
BETTING
TIP: ARSENAL
|
Even though he’s a short price m the betting, it’s difficult to
see Paul Nolan’s CLOONE RWER (3.45) being defeated in the
feature race of the day, the Gumness Galway Handicap Hurdle, a
race he won last year.
He has been given a remarkably similar preparation too, with
only one outing to his name since winning at Galway over fences
last September.
The run caine in a competitive handicap at The Curragh last
month, where he displayed his wellbeing by beating his 18 rivals
by a comfortable one and a half lengths.
That will have teed him up perfectly for this test, and,
although the price won’t be the best, he looks the most likely
winner.
As regards the future, it is more than likely he will return to
fences after this race, and he should be given some thought as a
possible Queen Mother Champion Chase contender such is his
class.
HoweveZ in this contest, his most dangerous rival could be Noel
Meade’s Definate Spectacle, who also warmed up for this test
with a win on the Flat at Leopardstowfl recently.
He is no slouch over hurdles either, as a win at Aintree on
Grand National day back in April proved.
Nolan could be on the mark in the opener, if he allows DIX
VILLEZ (1.50) to make his chasing debut (also has anentry in the
novice hurdle).
