There is one man who stands out here from a betting perspective. Sergio Garcia is in great form coming into this tournament and he looks to be a great bet at 8/1. The Spaniard has a great record here with two wins from his previous five starts, and has a impressive record of 50 under par for his 20 rounds played!
Whether he has recovered from the US Open is another matter, but his third place should give him a boost in confidence. Lets not foget he won the Booz Allen Classic a week earlier. Only Vijay Singh is shorter, at a miserly 4/1, but it is interesting to note that Garcia has won this event twice, and he has finished ahead of Vijay every time they have played together. This makes a bet on the Spaniard much more appealing.
If you think Garcia is too short, then we can look further down the coupon to Dutchman Bo Van Pelt, who sidestepped the US Open, so he should be raring to go in this one. At 40/1 he is a nice price, and he has secured three top ten finishes in the last three months.
Van Pelt looks to be improving also, and he should go better than his ninth in the tournament last year. For those looking at a huge upset, Joe Durant looks like a decent bet, as he has finished ,third and seventh in his last two starts here.
