Sun Feb 23 2003 Birmingham v Liverpool

Birmingham come into this game after being outclassed by a good Chelsea side 1-3. Birminghams fight and drive seems to have been lost recently, with their home record now looking as played 13, won three, drawn four and lost six. Infact they have only taken three out of a possible 18 in their last six home games.

Liverpool, despite not back to their best form, have won their last two away games, which included an excellent away win against a good Southampton side. Michael Owens goals have dried up, but the team has been supported by Emile Heskey and Milan Baros. I think this will be a tight game, but Liverpool should win and keep their Champions League qualification in touch. Perhaps cover the draw.

BETTING TIP:Liverpool @ 1.9/Draw @ 3.3

Both of those have won Derbys, but if that wasn’t enough, his dam is by Law Society - another stamina laden influence.
In short, everything he has done this season in a very short space of time (France aside) has screamed class, and he can be considered unfortunate to have only triumphed once thus far.
His next outing looks likely to be in the Grand Pnx De Paris, and he also has an entry in the Great Voltigeur -which is beginning to look like an important key to this race if the main protagonists take part.
Don’t worry too much if he doesn’t win them either (although obviously it would be a bonus!) - what is more important is that he shapes as if he wants lm6f.
Both previous O’Brien winners had reverses in midseason.

To guarantee a profit on their bookmaking, layers add a few percentage points to each outcome in an event. When the total of percentages for all outcomes is greater than 100%, they are sure of a profit if they have an equally-weighted book. Thus, if I was to offer 5-6 everywhere you look in sport you’ll find references to averages for one thing or another.
