F1: British GP

After securing victory for Renault at the French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours, Fernando Alonso is now as short as 5/11 for the world drivers' championship. His lead over McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen is now 24 points, which looks a long way behind on current form.

Interest in Raikonen has been eased in the betting to 15/8, with Michael Schumacher out to 11/1.

Raikkonen did do very well in France however, after starting in thirteenth place following his 10-place grid penalty for an engine change. He is a short prices 5/6 going into this weekend's British GP at Silverstone (live in-play betting available).

More close action, we all know the best camera position of the year is the entry to the swimming pool at Monaco. that flick, left right shows F1 at its best.

So at least one that shows the cars at their best. We all know Silverstone best so try to think of where you would like the cameras. Me? low at Maggots/Becketts as they approach from Copse.

The Championship leader Alonso is longer at at 3/1 with Michael Schumacher at 6/1.

Martin Brundle getting a press pass for 2008? Uncle Max is suing him & Sunday Times for article published in September. Funny that they only announced this on the same day as they let Renault off, some 3 months later.

However, it may be too much to ask for a victory, but a podium finish may not beyond him, and he can be backed at 11/4 to finish in the top three.
Coverage has always been poor there's lot of politics to why it hasn't really improved , there is so much that could be done to improve the coverage you only have to look at other motor sport in usa and back at 2002 when from tried to do it all, to see what can be done.

A good old fashioned smoke screen. The FIA then has the cheek to crictise Brundle for his timing in replying to the news.

For those supporting a home grown win,  Jenson Button is an attractive especially after he picked up his first points of the season last week in France.
