CHELSEA
V BORO ANALYSIS WILL APPEAR ON THURS 14TH NOV 2002
|
Chelsea come into
this game in fine form, having taken 11 points from a possible
18 at home. They crushed Birmingham last week, and will try to
put keeper Mark Bosnich's 'cocaine' binges out of the headlines
on Saturday. Middlesbrough have been putting together an excellent
run of form, with an impressive home win over Liverpool last Saturday.
Their points,
however, have mostly come from this home form, while they have
only won once away. They have lost their last two away games and
have only scored 4 goals away from the Riverside. Only Aston Villa
have scored less goals away, and even Bolton and West Bromwich
have a better scoring record away from home.
Chelsea have a
powerful strike force of Gianfranco Zola and Eidur Gudjohnson,
who have scored 13 between them. Gudjohnson is coming into form
after a slow start. This does not bode well for Boro. Despite
this, Boro will be difficult to score against as they have only
conceded 6 goals away, which is one of the best defensive records
in the league.
I just feel that
Chelsea have a bit more at the moment and I expect them to win,
but not by much. Chelsea to win, medium stake.
Glory are pretty much going through the motions at the minute,
while the Devils are really in the hunt for higher honours and
will see this as a must-win affair
In the Western Australia Premier Division, the Perth juggernaut
should continue to move along but they face
a tight contest as they head to the Velodrome the home of
I Athena.
