I think Parker went to Chelsea more for a career move but
with the hundreds of millions they are throwing about and
committed to on wages it is no surprise that he commanded a
monster pay rise. 16 months on and £4million later in wages
if he's genuinely interested in a career we should now be an
attractive oppostion even if does virtually halve his money.
I wouldnt know anywhere near enough on the figures to either
knock or back the board but we havent had anywhere near the
income of others over the last ten years or got lucky with a
sugar daddy!
Players bleed football and the bubble will burst one day.
How much did we pay Tranmere for Simonsen and how much would
we have paid him in wages over a 5 or 6 year
period..probably the equivalent of one years sky money with
a zilch return
How much more have Arsenal grossed over the last 10 years
than us with their prize money, European money, ticket
money, sponsorship etc. A lot of that is down to their
manager being successful on and off the pitch...With Moyes
at the helm we might reduce that gap but will need to realy
on players who want to PLAY for us perhaps realising their
is too much competition at the top 3.
