Historically, the Vincent O'Brien County Hurdle has been a minefield for punters with a huge field going to post and this year's renewal appears no different with the bookmakers going 14/1 the field.
The quintet who head the market include Mille Chief who trounced a field by six lengths at Sandown. He was immediately given a Champion Hurdle quote and Alan King may elect to go for that contest so avoid the ante-post punt on this five-year-old.
One runner who annihilated Mille Chief at Ascot in November was the unbeaten Aegean Dawn. Nicky Henderson's gelding was receiving a huge weight allowance that day but has since been hiked monstrously and at 14/1 may be handicapped too high and is one to avoid,
Tocca Ferro burst on the County Hurdle scene when winning a decent contest at Newbury, however injury has put him on the sidelines for months but his mark of 141 looks interesting. If Emma Lavelle can get him back fighting fit then the 14/1 could be huge odds on this improving performer.
