New weather site(s) will spring up showing rain for
all 5 days. (draw backer)
2. Someone who lives just 300/400 yds from ground will
appear on day 1 & say that its bright blue sky just behind
any clouds that appear (draw layer)
3. Someone who lives 300/400 yds from ground will appear on
day 1 & say that there are massive clouds behind the bright
blue sky that appears (draw backer)
4 Someone will appear & say that they managed to trade out
any loss on the draw at OT on the last day (draw layer)
5. Some one will appear & say that they have backed Eng/Aus
(they will be ignored because they havent backed/layed the
draw & are obviously loopy apart from ....)
6. That anger_therapy chap will say we are & he has
lumped on aussies in every single aussie market (ausiie
backer at everything)
7. everyone on the forum will reply to him and say how can
he lump on the aussies when he has done his bank on the
Trent Bridge test. (aussie layers in everything)
8. The phrase "Result Pitch" will get mentioned more that a
dozen times(seperate market 1.01)
Provided we get the weather then the better team will win.
I'm astonished Aus are shorter than England: The evidence
has been there for all to see all summer. England are a
better all round team than Australia, but there's a lot of
people who've been aus backers no-matter what during the
last three or four years, and old habits die hard I guess. I
think the three very close tests we've just been through are
keeping australia's price down:
To my mind, the 2 england
victories were one-sided games with close finishes. If that
sounds bizarre, what I mean is: England's superiority was
masked by great aussie fighting spirit, after the
winning/losing had been decided. In the OT game - England
totally dominated and were denied victory by losng saturday
to rain. All in all - a one sided series. Even the game we
lost, we'd given them a good kicking with the ball, but just
had no batsmen stand up to be counted.
So I think England have proved themselves the better side,
and they'll play to win at the Oval. Sure tactical decisions
(eg a declaration in the third innings) may well be
influenced by the series requirements, but the approach to
the game will be the same.
