Well, when will Chelsea's spending end? Once again they have rocked the Premier League with a big money signing.
There must have been whisperings amongst the Premier League's elite this week as Jose Mourinho made further claims for the title with the capture of Shaun Wright-Phillips from Man City. There are many people who are no saying that Chelsea are destroying the Premiership, they are taking everyones best players! The blues certainly have a stonger squad this time around. There is also talk of Essien coming from France to bolster the team. And he is only valued at £20 million!
There is no doubt that Chelsea do look nailed on for the title at the moment, considering the lack of ins and and alot of outs at Arsenal and Man Utd.
Bet365 have revealed an interesting market, as there's going to be plenty of competition and bench warming around the Bridge.
They are taking bets on how many games Wright-Phillips will start. They have the total at over/under 19 starts at around 5/6. It remains to be seen how Mourinho will play the former City star, as the Chelsea team do have an abundance of talent in their midfield.
Although its a good move for Wright-Phillips, his lack of games may prove to be his undoing regarding his England career. Sven Goran Eriksson may want players playing consistantly for their clubs, and Wright Phillips is certain to be warming the bench - he certainly wont start all his games.
Bet 365 go 2/7 that Wright-Phillips doesn't start England's first game at the 2006 World Cup Finals (5/2 that he does).
Recommendation: Shaun Wright-Phillips to make fewer than 19.5 starts for Chelsea 2005/6 @ 5/6
