Sun Feb 23 2003 Everton v Southampton

Everton have won three out of their last five games at home, and they have only lost once at home. Their home record reads as won eight, drawn four and lost once. They are boosted by the news that long term injury victim Duncan Ferguson is on the way back , and Wayne Rooney's England call up.Southampton's excellent form has faltered lately. Away from home they have played thirteen, won three times drawn four and lost six times. They have taken nine out of a possible 18 points away in their last six games., but lost their last away game to lowly Blackburn 1-0. I think Everton should be too strong for Southampton today. The Saints are not as strong away from home, and Everton will be full of confidence with strikers Radzinski, Campbell and Rooney in good form. Everton to win 2-0

BETTING TIP: Everton @ 1.92

My plans to go to Newmarket were ruined by the London bombers, and as a result I missed my first win at a grade one track as an owner which was seriously annoying.
However, as I write this, the emergency services are stifi trying to get remains out of underground tunnels which makes my disappointment trivial in the extreme.
Rising Cross is a filly I bought as a yearling and have only managed to sell half of it to a first-time syndicate.
Her lack of size probably accounts for the fact that I stifi own half but what she lacks in stature she certainly makes up fot in heart and I hope some Outlook readers got on my weekly nap.
