Ok im sticking my neck out this week but i feel SA are a certainty on saturday and excellent value at 2.2 around here. Imho, aus should be the underdogs.
1) Capacity crowd at Ellis Park
2) AUS have never won at ellis park since re admission I think and battle at the highveld, larkham admits in autobiography they struggle, very poor win record in SA.
3) Exciting new SA team, the players I would have in, whole new backline with 2 decent centres.
4) Nelson Mandela coming to game: SA have NEVER lost a game when he is at a game and will be hugely fired up.
Not with that front row. If the Bulls front row were playing I would back the Boks to win by 20. By negating the strength of South African rugby for whatever his agenda is White has brought the spread a lot closer and in fact in favour of the Aussies. As much as I savour Bok victories and was at the last one at Ellis park against Aussie I cannot see this one coming off.
Centres need time to gel not a crucial test against a side that played in the last world cup final.
Players that are past their sell by date do not need consolation caps.
The front row is not the strongest unit that we can put out. The persistence with Andrews and his lack of strength which contributes to scrum penalties is a huge mistake.
Pretorius looks like he is preparing to take on Schalk Brits for the hooker position in the Cats next year.
The token scrum half is not in the best four scrummies that we have on option. This a vital selection and his lack of game time at this level with pretorius will be negative.
Burger on the bench...and we are not gifting blazers and caps....do me a favour.
