Fulham come
into this game on the back of a disastrous run of games,
which has seen them take only 2 points from 18 and have
only taken 1 point from their last 3 home games. Liverpool,
on the other hand are wobbling slightly, having been knocked
out of the Champions league they could only manage a 0-0
draw against resurgent Sunderland at Anfield. Liverpool
have the joint best away record in the league, having won
4 games out of 6 already.
While Liverpool
confidence is rocking, Fulham are faring no better and I
can see Liverpool coming away with an away win. Defensively,
they have only conceded 5 goals away in total, and have
the best defensive records in the league, having conceded
only 10 in total. They should be able to cope with Fulhams
attack, with striker Steve Marlet sent off last week. He
is their top scorer with a measly 3 goals. Fulham have only
scored 9 goals at home this season and Sami Hyppia, and
recalled Marcus Babbel make scoring extremely difficult.
Michael Owen has already scored 8 premiership goals this
season, and after announcing that his girlfriend is pregnant,
I can see him getting on the scoresheet. Last weeks draw
should only be a blip and Liverpool should win this won.
High stake.
