Cracking event this with lots of top stars on show (but
no STENSON) I said top stars!! what will Clarkey do !!,
Big john Daly comes over to Europe to play in A event that
he's won b4 but also had some bad rounds here as well ,been
playing consistantly has DALY the last few week's without
threatening to win (apart from when he broke his putter) and
I feel that he will have A good week as the Course is made
for him,
Home player SIEM has had an up and down season but more
downs lately but this course is also made for him and if he
is to win it could be on this course and in his native
Germany and he along with fellow compatriot LANGER may well
give the home crowd something to shout about on Sunday
BJORN,McGINLEY and HOWELL are all playing well and A win
here for any of them wouldent come as A shock , POULTER is A
birdie machine and if he can keep the mistakes down to A
minimum he MUST b feared, me old foe DOUGHERTY seems to have
lost the plot lately and although he may well finish top 10
I don't expect him to win this week, I still cant have CASEY
@ all @ the moment but he is showing signs of A return to
form and when he is BACK it can only b good for Europe
HARRINGTON has had his problems as we all know and how he
performs we will just have no idea but if anywhere near his
best would take A lot of beating this week,
DONALD has had A couple of great events and finished well
last week but overall this season he has not performed as he
should have,
Finally last week ROMERO hacked up in A very poor seniors
event but could do no more than win and if he can bring that
form here as he showed in Portugal for 3 rounds he aint
finished winning on the main tour just yet I reckon and @
around the 80/1 mark could also go well,lots of players in
with chances 2 many 2 mention and whoever wins if it ain't 1
of mine it will b A could of backed him .
Poor event this by USA standards and A great chance for
WESTWOOD to break his duck in the states if he can keep his
mind focused for 4 Rounds (something which MIKE TYSON cant
do these days),WESTWOOD hasent had A good 4 round for ages
and now that hes played the last 2 weeks he should be ready
to strike and he will know that he can WIN THIS,as like
HARRINGTON we all know that CLARKE as also had his problems
but like WESTWOOD he has now played the last 2 weeks and A
couple of good rounds last week will I feel also have CLARKE
feeling that he can win this,unlike OWEN handind in his EURO
CARD this week,If things dont turn round quickly for JUSTIN
ROSE he should ask him can he have it as ROSE just hasent
performed as he should of for 18 months or more and if
things dont start improving for Justin he wants to get back
on the EURO tour, after his early problems when he turned
pro ROSE starting winning regulary but since going to the
states has played very very poor apart from the decant round
here and there , only he knows why but to be fair he as also
had family problems and it may be that its still affecting
him,however Justin has played well the last month or so
without troubling the leaders and maybe his game is coming
together once again and @ 80/1 he can go well this week I
reckon, I couldent have PERRY on my mind the way he
performed on sunday and he must have been gutted and this
event may come A week to soon for him
