It is a little difficult to make a decision this week, with
only a few years of course form to analyse. Still, there are
few who stand out and offer some good value. One man
who does look worthy of a punt if Geoff Ogilvy. As one of
only a few players who have managed a top ten finish
in the two years that Redstone has hosted this event, he
looks worth a few quid each way at 25/1. Does seem to lack a
bit of divil when it comes to putting away the opposition (
like Tiger and VJ do when they get to front ) . Amazed at
his score today , he was 1.3 a place overnight , not sighted
today. He is the best English golfer since Nick , but needs
to move up a level when in contention. But he has been
getting into great positions recently and has then faded ,

joined leaders on bridle , found little , faded final
furlong .
Of course, Vijay Singh, as the only member of the world's
elite golfers (ie the top 10), taking part this week, is worth a saver, while
the form of John
Daly this year is worrying, as he is built for this course!
If Daly was in any sort of consistancy he would be the bet
here, but instead, as he is struggling for form, we look to
similar 'grip-it-and-rip-it' players this week! Our
thoughts therefore turn to big hitters Brandt Jobe and Jimmy Walker,
who are both high up in the driving distance stats, have bits
of form to their names this season, and are at attractive three-figure
prices!
