John Smiths Cup, York
Sa July 10
I back a horse when it has put up a Guineas
performance. Hasn't happened this year yet (for the 2000).
To be perfectly honest, I had a small bet on To Sender after
his win. Should really have backed both the first 2, but I
don't really think I will regret it. Still waiting for a
proper performance. Fillies seem a lot better. New
Girlfriend and Nidhaal particularly. Haven't backed New
Girlfriend as it seems a little short really. Don't like to
back shorter than 25/1 at this stage.
Best method is to wait until something hoses up in a 2
year old pattern race, then get the price it was before said
race, then get on here double quick to tell people how
clever you've been.
Eventually the lies & after timing will catch you out &
you'll end up either banned or skint, but you can always
come back under a new identity.....
Easy money this ante-post game
(by the way, I am NOT someone to follow 'ante-post' on here.
I lost a pile of money on last years Ebor on one that did
not even run)Please to leave Amigoni and Aussie Rules alone
antepost. My gut feeling horse is Ivan Denisovich ... get
the feeling Horatio Nelson will be better over further than
a mile. My head tells me George Washington who should be
much better than he's already shown.
Rang PPow** to have a grand on Ivan Denisovich today at 20/1
a full 9 months before the Guineas and they knocked me back
to £250. Complete cowards for such a major bookmaker.
Knocked back to half my stake elsewhere by a smaller
bookmaker.
Was quite interested in this PPow** market -

first three in the betting for next year's 2000 Guineas,
does one in particular stand out?'
'We really do have some lovely young horses, but what I will
say is that I have never ridden a horse that has improved so
much from run to run as Ivan Denisovich. There are still
lots of nice ones to come out hopefully. We've got an awful
lot to look forward to next year'.
