Tiutchev has surged to the top of VC Bet’s racing liabilities
for Boxing Day’s King George VI Chase at Kempton.
Shrewd support for the Martin Pipe-trained 11-yr-old has
seen the horse backed in from 20s to 12/1 with the money still
coming in.
”It will be a bleak Christmas if Tiutchev obliges,”
confessed VC Bet’s Ian Marmion.
“But it’s his first run of the season and we
are prepared to take him on.”
Marmion singled out Nicky Henderson’s Calling Brave
as the horse VC Bet want to avoid laying.
”He produced a polished display of jumping on his seasonal
reappearance when just touched off by the rapidly improving
Colonel Frank at Sandown and he looks primed for a big performance
on Boxing Day,” said Marmion.
Calling Brave is currently trading at 6/1 for the three mile
race.
Kicking King is VC Bet’s 5/2 favourite with Le Roi
Miguel the 4/1 second favourite.
