After the excitement of the Champions League, our attentions
turn to League Two and the playoff final between Southend
and Lincoln. There are some nice odds in opposing the
favourites here today - Southend have already been to
Cardiff this season, losing to Wrexham in the LDV Vans final, and so they will have bitter experiences coming into this game. Another key factor is how they are to break down a rigid Lincoln defence that has tightened up in recent games. They have five clean sheets in their last nin e games and will be rock solid for this game no doubt.
However, this is the final and both teams will be extremely cagey; I feel the best bet today would be to go for the draw at a nice 11/5.
In Sunday's big Coca Cola Championship final, West Ham for some reason are the bookies favourites. This can only be due to the prestige of the club and the experiences of big games down recent years, but that does not mean they are the better team! Most recently, the underdogs Preston have been the better side, playing the most consistant football. Added to this, they have already defeated West Ham twice in the Championship this season.
They are a very nice 15/8 and this represents good value, considering the factors leading up to this game and past performances
