Leeds boss
Terry Venables has never lost against Charlton Athletic
in the premiership, but todays game is going to be extremley
difficult. Despite a good draw midweek away to Malaga, Leeds
have only won twice at home and have lost 5 at home already.
Leeds go into the game with just one win in nine Premiership
matches, and four home defeats on the spin. Since beating
Manchester United 1-0 on 14 September, Arsenal, Liverpool,
Everton and at the time bottom placed Bolton, have all visited
Elland Road and left with the spoils. Elland Road is a pressure
pot now and the players will dread playing in front of their
expectant fans, and star players such as Mark Viduka and
Danny Mills are doubtfuil for this game.
Charlton
go into the weekend lanquishing in the Premiership's bottom
six - one place below Leeds and equal on points. Yet they
have won their last two matches, 0-1 at Manchester City
and 3-1 at home to Blackburn. Those results were enough
to convince Addicks striker Jason Euell that their season
is back on track and he has recently signed a new contract
which will increase confidence in the camp. Charlton have
already won 3 times away already this season, and I expect
them to infilict another embarrasing home defeat on Leeds,
which may spell the end of Terry Venables as manager. Away
win. Small stake.
