Premiership - Portsmouth v Fulham

From the beginning,i was 100% convinced that Owen would sign.I heard this from fanatical, hardcore fans who pay for imfo regarding LFC.The Money was in place,Moores promised rafa that the transfer wouldn't effect any of his other transfer targets and Owen practically beeged to join.I know that word "ramper" is being touted but i strongly advised anybody NEVER to bet on such info.

I've always maintained that Rafa would be the fly in the ointment, maybe he didn't fancy him etc etc........ALWAYS

Remeber,Owen is quite ruthless in what he does,he was quite prepared to let his contract run out with Liverpool in his final year, like Shaggy did, so money has obviously ruled again this time

Good luck to the lad. I was aware of the same info, but Rafa’s involvement from the beginning meant there was no way I’d mention the dates being touted etc.

I don’t know if you heard the same, but over the weekend the local journalists were sure he was coming, and one contact (who works for Liverpool’s (transfer) agency) was sure a deal would be done. That’s about as sure as you can get : goes to show that anything can happen in football.

I can’t wait to hear what Liverpool say about it – there will be a lot of reading between the lines….

Must admit, as soon as Newcastle made a bid I was a bit concerned… and was right to! Nowt more than unsubstantiated rumours that anyone in their right mind would never pay for. Of course they have to put something juicy on it, who is going to call a premium rate number to hear "We're not signing anyone, phone back tomorrow to hear the same thing"?!
