I think Pipe will have left behind his championship chances with his frenzy at the end of last season. So much fuss was made about running horses so often during the closing weeks, but the real damage will be long-term (as always with Pipe) and I very much doubt you'll see many of those really nice horses (Joacci, Commercial Flyer, Medison, Comply or Die, Control Man, etc) performing up to standard. The man, and his principal owner, is, as ever, a disgrace, and, while there is an apparently unlimited fund with which to replenish stocks, I have a feeling that the yard will suffer this season.

If you're talking about my mention of My Will last year, i think you'll find i was right, i said he was PN's best novice. I agree though that he's better over further than 2 miles.

You have to learn not to listen to everything the RP and connections say. Kauto Star is considered a 2 miler at this stage by both connections and his trainer - FACT.

HR has run 3 times in Group races. The front 6 in each of those races, excluding HR, have run 13 times between them since the first of those races.Only Shamardal and Scorpion have won. There are several shocking performances included in those runs.Is this what one might expect the form of a 7/2 favourite for the Arc to amount to? I fully accept the trainer has a brilliant record in bringing horses on in order to peak for the first week in October but......For the record I have backed Shawanda and Shirocco. Is there a reason why the facts I state concerning that line of form may be misleading?

the form of hurricane run's last 2 races looks good to me. Firstly, he only narrowly lost to Sharmadal who went on to win a group 1 at Royal York and secondly he beat Scorpion in the group 1 Irish Derby, and if Scorpion franked the form in decisive fashion in Paris group 1. Looking at other horses down to 6th place is irrelevant.
I initially layed Hurrricane at 20s on Betfair, before these 2 races, when all he had going for him was his trainers comments and a group 2 win.
I am disappointed by the way things have worked out, as I see him now as the most likely winner.
At the moment I have him as a small winner in my book, and I wont lay him at bigger than 4.9 until I see how he runs on sunday.

You'll have to give the number on the website a ring I'm afraid Teto. Would like to be able to give you more info, especially after you gave me the low down on Whitby a month or so back that convinced me to go, but I think it would all depend on what size of room, i.e single/twin/triple etc. It really is very early days. I do know it will be good value alongside the other hotels in town.
Been stopping there for years until it changed to a backpackers hostel whilst being renovated. You can't really ask for a better location. Mountains and Badbrokes just round the corner. Racecourse literally straight up the road. Next door one side there's a pub, the other a curry house. Chip shop on the end of the road and a pizza shop opposite. All the things that basically matter to a man on a racing trip!
