There is a very weak field at this years US Bank Championship. We are taking no
silly bets this week, Kenny Perry is (our very unoriginal) selection for this week's US Bank
Championship,
The only major threat to Perry is second favourite Scot Verplank, who is 16/1,
has not won since 2001 and has tendancies to be a bottler, so Perry has all the
credentials to really stake a claim on the title at this event. The course at
Brown Deer Park does not have the history or regality of the Open, but it does
have some of the longest rough, and so does deserve some respect from the
golfers.
Due to this rough, it is very important to hit the ball
straight off the tea, and there is no better in that
department than Kenny Perry.
Of course, lets not forget that Perry won this event in
2003, and has finished in the top seven places in all of his
five starts here Perry has also won twice this season, and
he always has the desire and the will to win, something that
some of his competitors are sadly lacking this time around
