Even though Alex Rae secured
a point last week, I dont think Wolves can win this game.
Man City have risen to fourth in the league, and they
have the firepower to beat a poor Wolves team. Man City
have some good away form, winning four out of their last
five away games. With a strike force of Anelka, Fowler,
Sinclair and McMannaman, this should be too much for Wolves.
Wolves have lost two out of their last three home games,
and have only scored two league goals all season.
I think any odds over evens
should be taken and with 2.1 on offer for an away win
Man City looks the best bet. I feel Wolves will have more
confience after their draw, but should find Man City with
too much quality.

Young Kate 4 b f
This wffl be a shock to Outlook readers. She’s a 38-rated horse
but performed quite well at Redcar last year and wasn’t
disgraced on a few other starts on turf. She was way below par
when we had the dreaded virus but is working huge amounts better
than her handicap mark. When we can eventually get her into a
race she will be a good thing. I really do think this ally will
improve an awful lot. She will wait about i'm but might stay a
bit further. Follow her with interest. THE cavalry charge that
is the Vodalone Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood on Saturday is
invariably draw affected.
At the time of writing who’s boxed where is an unknown but
granted a bit of luck in that department it’s hard to see Lafl
being far away.
Dandy Nicholls’s charge blew his handicap mark by finishing
second in a Group 3 race on Eclipse day.
The assessor reacted by raismghimfrom98to ilObut due to some
races closing early there were a couple of opportunities for
Lafi to race off his old mark.
The first was at Newbury lat Sunday where, after racing on the
slower ground and finding a flat 5f too sharp, he could only
finish second.
The other opportunity is Saturday’s big handicap. The 6f trip
will suit, he goes well in these type of races - he won last
season’s Wokinghamand despite last weekend’s setback remains
very much the one to beat.
The preceding race, the
Group 1 Vodafone Nassau
Stakes, looks booked to go to
Ireland via Alexander Goldrun.
Jim Bolger’s filly is an ab solute stat She’s won or performed
with great credit in Britain, Ireland, France, Hong Kong and
Singapore. She’s shown her form on different sorts of tracks and
all types of going and is a gennine Group 1 performer.
She proved that by taking the Pretty Polly back in June and last
time out only the top-class Soviet Song prevented her doubling
up in the very best company.
She seemed to find the mile a tad on the sharp side there and
will appreciate the return to her optimum distance.
Over at Newmarket, Spring Jim can take the bluesqpoker.com
Handicap. Since winning at Doncaster on his return things
haven’t gone his way.
Messed about and short of room at Newmarket and Sandown, he’s
not been able to give his true running. He’s stifi handicapped
to win.
One who won’t mind the expected cut in the ground is Autumn
Glory who lines up for Geoff Wragg in the Group 2 Betfair Cup.
I’ve sung Wragg’s praises here before, pointing out his patient
approach and how his
animals keep their form over several seasons.
Autumn Glory is typical of his skills. The five-year-old has
only had 14 starts to date, winning six, and stifi seemingly
improving.
His latest success came in the Ladbroke Trophy - the first Group
race held in Britain on the All-Weather -where he showed good
tactical speed on the sharp Lingfield track to beat a
competitive field.
His best turf form is with plenty of give, the bends and
downhill nature of Good-wood won’t worry him and he comes here
at the top of his game.
The opener, the Summer Stakes Handicap, can go to Evaluator.
Terry Mills’s charge has taken time to get over a gelding
operation but is now in prime form.
Although performing creditably in several mile handicaps last
season, this son of Ela Mana Mou often looked in need of further
and stepping him up in trip has proved a shrewd move.
His two runs at ten furlongs has seen him finish second and
first - the win coming in snug fashion at Newbury re
