Arsenal v QPR Odds : Backing Mark Hughes’s side could reap rewards at Emirates

Two teams desperate for points for very different reasons meet in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon as Arsenal host Queens Park Rangers at the Emirates Stadium.

It has been a tough start for both of these sides and the Gunners need a win here to try and move closer to the top four, whereas QPR are still searching for their first victory this season.

Arsene Wenger has had a nightmare week so far as his men followed up a 1-0 defeat at Norwich City last weekend with a 2-0 loss at home to Schalke in the Champions League.

What Wenger needs now is a victory and he will know if one doesn’t come in this encounter the supporters will be on his back.

The bookmakers predictably feel that the Gunners will have no problems in disposing of Mark Hughes’s side, and at odds of 2/5 they do look a little on the short side.

If Arsenal can get someone like Santi Cazorla on the ball and creating chances, then they should have enough to come out on top on Saturday and if results do go their way, the London club could even end up in the top four by the time the final whistle goes.

Bet365 make Cazorla 8/1 to find the net first which is sure to attract the attention of punters considering his performances so far this season.

As for QPR, it does look like being a very long campaign for them and although this is likely to be one of the toughest games in the Premier League, it is one they are searching for the points in.

Rangers could only draw at home to ten-men Everton last Sunday and Mark Hughes would have seen that as the best chance of a victory so far this season.

Many are saying this team full of new players needs time to gel, but they really need to start accumulating some points or they will have a lot of ground to make up.

Although this will be a tough game for Hughes’ side, they will look at the teams to have taken a result from Arsenal so far in the league and go into this with some confidence.

The once praised Arsenal defence has looked a little brittle in recent weeks and QPR really do not have anything to lose going into the game.

An early goal could silence the crowd and QPR are out to cause an upset, and their odds of 8/1 to taste victory at the Emirates could well be the value.

It should be a superb game that gets underway from 3PM.
