Aston Villa v West Brom Odds : Back Bent and Benteke to fire Villa to home win

The Super Sunday fixture this weekend is yet another local derby as Aston Villa take on West Bromwich Albion at Villa Park.

It is the away side that come into this one in much better spirits though as they currently occupy a top four spot and have been extremely impressive this campaign.

Aston Villa (best price 6/4 with Bet365) on the other hand, they have not had the start they would have wanted under new manager Paul Lambert.

The Villains currently sit on just four points and went down 4-1 away to newly-promoted Southampton last weekend, which will concern the ex Norwich manager.

However, after an impressive victory over Manchester City in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday evening, Villa should have some confidence in their camp and could now really kick-start their season.

Lambert will be looking to someone like Darren Bent to provide that touch of quality that could separate the two sides on Sunday afternoon. Last season’s top scorer is now back to full fitness and should be eager to build on his opening strike against the Saints last week.

He was rested in Villa’s win at the Etihad and Villains fans will be hoping he can forge a productive partnership with Christian Benteke, a summer signing from Genk who has shown some sparkling touches since his arrival and should make the starting line up.

As for West Brom, (best price 9/4 with Ladbrokes) as mentioned this has been a great start in the Premier League for them. Steve Clarke looks to be showing that he is a capable manager that can achieve great things at the Hawthorns.

However, Clarke will be telling his men not to get too carried away with the start they have made and will send them into this one fully focused to grab all three points.

They did suffer a defeat in the cup on Wednesday evening, so this will be a good test as to how the Baggies can bounce back after defeat.

Romelu Lukaku is likely to start his second game in the league after grabbing the all important winner against Reading last time out.

Villa Park is sure to be rocking in this one and it is likely to be a fiery encounter, where there is the added spice of this being the only Midlands derby in the Premier League this season.

Kick –off is at 4PM.
