Norwich v QPR Odds – Bet365 Clean sheet

Deeming this game as a six pointer probably is a little off the mark but both sides will be looking to numb the pain caused by each of their 5-0 reverses last weekend.

Norwich were stuffed by Fulham in a dire performance whilst QPR were surprisingly hammered at home by Swansea at Loftus Road.

Both sides will want to get their season up and running by avoiding another defeat at Carrow Road, especially new Canaries manager Chris Hughton, who will be taking his seat in the home dugout for the first time.

The markets make the Canaries the clear favourites for the clash, with Paddy Power installing them as clear 5/4 favourites.

A draw would probably been seen as a good result for both sides and has seen interest with customers from Bet365, who pencilled a stalemate in at 11/5. An away win for QPR can be backed at 11/5 (Ladbrokes).

That price may produce some interest within punting circles as kick-off approaches as it seems QPR will be bringing in two or three more signings before the Friday’s deadline for the weekend.

Both Michael Dawson and Ricardo Carvalho should be announced in time weekend and will presumably slot straight into the side, as Mark Hughes will be hoping for that little bit extra from his new signings Ji Sung-Park and Fabio.

They would undoubtedly shore up their leaky defence that was cut apart by the rampant Swans last weekend, and fans must already have their doubts over new keeper Rob Green, who didn’t exactly inspire confidence at the back.

QPR followers will be well aware that Norwich have been somewhat of a bogey side for their team in recent years. Norwich have won four and lost none of the last five meetings with QPR, including two 2-1 wins over the Londoners last season, and with Grant Holt no doubt eager to open his scoring account this weekend, this already looks a must win game for all at Craven Cottage.

Rangers have also failed to score five of the last nine games against Norwich. Goals look unlikely in what is bound to be a cagey affair, and when you consider how shot-shy QPR were against Swansea, a Norwich clean sheet looks worth backing at 9/4 with Bet365.
